Girls with Advanced age are subjected to higher risk of complications and infection (especially if there's an existing medical condition), the duration of time under anesthesia, the prolong bed rest, delayed healing and etc.
We had recently make it our standards of care for patients to wear compression stockings to prevent reduce the possible complications arising from inactivity from the bed rest.
