Drugs & Supplementation: Preparing yourself for Surgery
Vitamin C (2,000mg a day) a month prior to surgery
Grape Seed Extracts
Multi-Vitamins One-a-Day
I do think it's best to condition the body to it's best possible state before the surgery, by doing so you're improving your body's ability to recover from surgery - fight infection, reduce inflammation, rebuild cells and repair damaged tissue, heal woulds, build new collagen and heal itself.
My concern are only for drugs that may affect the outcome of surgery, most specifically those that alter coagulation times. Hormones is best discontinued 1 month before surgery, and that's a good time to stop aspirin as well (although for those who have a cardiac history should only do so after consultation with the doctor).

Trachea Shave (M-t-F)
Picture 2 shows the possible incision (the scars tend to be not visible in most patients after the initial bruising/ redness goes away). Note that the Throat appears smoother and less Angular. It's a myth that some people say "Adam Apples removal", if the Adam Apples are removed - it's impossible to speak properly (or at all). The Trachea shave procedure reduce the appearance of the Adam Apples.
Buttock Augmentation (M-t-F)
The patient had buttock augmentation and has kindly share her thoughts about the procedure she had. The patient is happy with the results but wasn't pleased with the scarring involved and thought she would had preferred a one mid-line incision instead of two curvilinear incisions.
With the mid-line incision, the chances of complications is significantly higher due to the close location to the anus.
She has recommended me to recommend the mid-line incisions to future patients considering the procedure as it leaves little traces to the procedure, and also the complications arising from the choice of incision may be managed by antibiotics.
Breast Augmentation (M-t-F)
As a Transgender girl considering Breast augmentation, you should know that if you have not had Hormonal therapy before puberty - it will be difficult to achieve B cup (maximum) with Hormonal therapy. Breast Augmentation is often necessary for T-girls to achieve reasonable cup size for their body frame.
Breast development, Tanner Stages I to V
For an adult begining Hormonal therapy should know of the possibilities of under-developed and-or tubular breast. The glands and lobules not developing properly, resulting a triangular and-or narrow Breasts. Some older T-girls may have their breast growth spaced far apart, and one is larger than the other.
Case 1 (Insufficient Breast Growth):
Typically many girls do not achieve sufficient breast growth from Hormonal Therapy and opt for Breast implants, the result is often as above. (This picture is selected for patient's knowledge and is not a good representative of the possible results of every other individual).
Case 2 (Some Breast Growth)
Girls with some breast growth typically have better results. (This picture is selected for patient's knowledge and is not a good representative of the possible results of every other individual).

SRS & Advanced Age
Girls with Advanced age are subjected to higher risk of complications and infection (especially if there's an existing medical condition), the duration of time under anesthesia, the prolong bed rest, delayed healing and etc.
We had recently make it our standards of care for patients to wear compression stockings to prevent reduce the possible complications arising from inactivity from the bed rest.
Article to be improved... I welcome any contributions/ idea on how I should work towards.

SRS with medical condition: Diabetics
Case study from our patient:
Diabetes mellitus is a disorder in which blood sugar (glucose) levels can become abnormally high because the body does not produce enough insulin or is resistant to fully utilizing the insulin the Pancreas produces. My concern was that high blood sugars might cause poor circulation to the skin and subsequently permit infections that cause the surgical site to heal slowly prolonging my recovery or worse impacting the aesthetic outcome. I worried about how I would deal with, and who would assist me, to control my blood sugars while I was in recovery and all of that combined with the fact that my oral medications could cause complications with Anesthesia created a difficult set of circumstances. All of these things were on mind mind as I met with surgeons around the world and the decision to select Amit and his team became obvious as we discussed the surgical process and recovery program he proposed which anticipated that my recovery would be a bit longer than usual and pre-planned for complications.
The disease did impact my recovery even with all the pre-planning. I experienced slower healing (about 50% slower) and an infection resulting from the wound being open longer. Although I'm sure everyone will react differently, I suspect this to be normal with diabetic patients and something that anyone like me should consider.

BGender Clinic, Bangkok, Thailand
The clinic represents the next step in treatment of the transsexual patient, an integrated multidisciplinary center that takes advantage of the economies of centralization. In the past, patients with a diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria were forced to visit several specialists in order to achieve their treatment goals.
